LA Galaxy is reportedly ready to make Zlatan Ibrahimovic the highest paid player in MLS.
The LA Galaxy have informed the Manchester United forward that they are prepared to make him the highest paid player in Major League Soccer if he joins the club this Summer, according to BBC. Last year, Zlatan signed a 1-year contract with United and since then has netted 26 goals for the club.
Last season, Steven Gerrard retired for the Galaxy, clearing up $6.1 million so they definitely have room in the salary cap to make this happen. According to BBC, Zlatan believes he can have the same impact (if not more) as David Beckham had when he joined in 2007.
One thing is for sure. If Zlatan comes to Los Angeles, you know he will claim the title of “God of MLS.” I can hear the chants now.
