Football is fine blend of history and innovation. It is a game that has a deeper history than most sports, yet it is a game that represents progress. Some put more value in tradition. Some put more value in progress. If you can visually sum up this contradiction, you would have the new Juventus crest (Or logo? I’m not really sure now).
Juventus – the second oldest team in Italy – has introduced it’s new modern logo and identity. Interbrand Milan – the creative agency behind the new look – hint to a potentially larger initiative by the club: “Juventus aims to distil its essence into far-reaching experiences which can appeal to the football fan while being highly relevant to entertainment enthusiasts who are further away from football as a sport. The new logo is iconic and universal.”

Below are some more subtle visuals for how the club arrived at the latest visual identity. The new approach is certainly a bold move by the club. It is yet to be seen whether other club’s will follow suit in transforming the traditional crests.
