The latest project from streetwear brand and collective, LA TI GO, combines rivals in hopes to strengthen a community.
One of the beautiful things about this sport is that it has the ability to bring people together. No matter what economic status, race or religion, there is always common ground found on the football pitch. It’s wonderful to see brands reflect these ideals in the products they design.
LA TI GO, or La Tienda de las Gorras, is a streetwear brand and collective based in Madrid, Spain holds family and union at its core. These two values are boldly represented in the brand’s new collection in which the main piece is a half-Real Madrid, half-FC Barcelona football jersey. The rivals are joined under “familia above colours” emblazoned on the reverse, intended as an invitation to a greater community.
The obvious theme of unity isn’t the only theme found in the new collection. “In my opinion, they form part of a new wave of Spanish creatives which have realized the importance of the collaborative statement in arts,” explains Pablo, the photographer of the collection, “No egos, no prejudices, and a very proactive attitude. In fact, it doesn’t matter what field we talk about; whether in fashion or engineering (the two opposed worlds I am between), I think the key is to find young people working intensively and with the joy of doing things.”
