Adidas gives you a taste of fame in new branded video to bring hype to its second season of the Tango League.
The Tango League is a two-year-old league which champions standout footballers, both on and off the field. The league gives individuals all over the world a platform to showcase why they are the best street baller in their city. In order to move up the leaderboard and become the MVP, players must first create a player profile and then compete in Tango League events. Having a strong social engagement also helps move you up the ladder.
As a brand, Adidas is winning when it comes to supporting street football culture. When you look at all of the events and products, you can see that the major brand gets it. There’s a new level of competition in football that can be found in cities across the globe. It’s played by those who go to work and show up for their 10pm games played on a caged pitch, nestled somewhere in an urban neighborhood. It will interesting to see how brands (especially major ones like Adidas and Nike) continue to adapt to this growing culture.
