Adidas and Alexander Wang team up for the second time to bring you a collection of sportswear pieces with the Wang twist.
The Spring 2017 collection from Adidas and Alexander Wang blends classic sportswear looks with the creativity that only Wang can contribute. The collection pulls inspiration from Canal Street reseller culture, where bootlegged items line the streets. Per brand, this was Wang’s way of challenging what’s real versus what’s fake.
The line features two new shoe styles, the “AW Run” and the “AW Run Clean,” which take very new and very different approaches to footwear. The “AW Run” features an intricate lacing system, which tightens in the back above the heel. The “AW Run Clean” takes the opposite approach and doesn’t have any laces at all.
The collection is launches with a street-style lookbook, which continues the same vibe and style of Canal Street culture in true NYC style. The rest of the line features track suits, crop tops and shorts in black, navy and burgundy. The collection will be available starting March 1st at select retailers globally.
