Adidas does it yet again. This time we’re not focusing on the latest boot or kit designs, but we’re now turning our heads towards the latest match ball. Unlike any other sport in the world, each season we find ourselves waiting to see what the latest ball design will be. Adidas has really one-upped themselves for the 2017 MLS season.
The NATIVO concept “from the stadium to the street and back again” added a new level of inspiration for the blended imagery from the United States and Canada, countries who both have teams in Major League Soccer. The grunge, graffiti-like design is something that hasn’t been seen before on ball – a sign that Adidas is committed to adventurous and bold design.
Can’t wait to see it in action, which will be March 3rd when the Portland Timbers host Minnesota United FC’s first ever MLS match.
